The prescribing of medication is entirely at the independent professional discretion of the consulting physician.

Submission of a consultation and payment of the consultation fee do not guarantee that medication will be prescribed.

Physicians May:
  • Prescribe medication where clinically appropriate.
  • Recommend over-the-counter medications.
  • Recommend lifestyle modifications.
  • Recommend laboratory investigations.
  • Recommend imaging studies.
  • Recommend monitoring without medication.
  • Recommend an in-person medical evaluation.
  • Refer you to another healthcare provider or hospital.
Physicians May Decline to Prescribe Medication If:
  • There is insufficient clinical information.
  • Your condition requires a physical examination.
  • Additional investigations are required.
  • Your symptoms suggest a medical emergency.
  • The requested medication is not medically appropriate.
  • Prescribing the medication would violate applicable laws, regulations, or professional standards.
Controlled and Restricted Medicines

To protect patient safety and comply with applicable Nigerian laws, physicians using the Platform may decline to prescribe controlled medicines, narcotics, habit-forming medications, or other restricted drugs through an online consultation.

Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions are not automatic. Every request is independently assessed based on your current condition, medical history, and the physician’s clinical judgment.

Pharmacy Availability

Medication availability varies between pharmacies. 9jaTelemedicine Limited does not guarantee that a prescribed medicine will be available at any particular pharmacy or location.

Patient Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use medications only as directed.
  • Read all medication instructions.
  • Inform healthcare providers about allergies and adverse reactions.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you develop severe side effects or your condition worsens.
  • Never share prescription medications with another person.
Independent Medical Judgment

All prescribing decisions are made solely by the independent consulting physician. 9jaTelemedicine Limited does not direct, influence, or control prescribing decisions and is not responsible for a physician’s independent clinical judgment regarding medications.
